DEHUMIDIFICATION IS IMPORTANT

Thus, the typical 3-ton residential air conditioner is capable of removing about 10 gallons a day of humidity from the air in your home. More typical is about half that – about 5 gallons per day. It doesn’t sound like much, but consider the amount of damage 5 gallons of water could do if it were dumped on your ceiling or wood floor. If left in the air the result would be mold, odors, and allergies.
